The 2019 Győr Junior World Championships were held at the Audi Aréna Győr in Győr, Hungary in June 2019. The FIG confirmed that Hungary would host the inaugural Junior World Championships in October 2017.[1]
Format of Competition[]
The competition format was similar to that of the Olympics. All participating gymnasts, including those who were not part of a team, participated in a qualification round, which also served as the team final and all-around final. Each country could only have three gymnasts per team, all three performed on each apparatus, and the top two scores counted toward the team total. The results of this competition determined which teams and individuals participated in the event finals, spread over two days, in which the eight highest scoring individuals on each apparatus competed. Each country was limited to two gymnasts in each apparatus final.
