The 2021 African Championships were held from May 26-27 in Cairo, Egypt. The event will serve as individual qualifications for the 2020 Olympics, and is the last Olympic qualifying event for African gymnasts. The competition was originally set to be held in Tschwane, South Africa, but was postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was set to be held in Pretoria, South Africa before it was moved to Cairo.

All participating gymnasts participated in the all-around, which also served as event finals.
