The 2024 African Gymnastics Championships was held in Marrakech, Morocco from May 3-6. This competition served as a qualifying meet for the Olympics in Paris.
Format of Competition[]
The first round of competition served as both the team and all-around champions as well as a qualification round for event finals. Countries could have a team of up to five gymnasts, and followed a four up, three count format. Gymnasts without a team could compete as individuals for the all-around title and to qualify for event finals. Each country was limited to two gymnasts in each apparatus final and two gymnasts on the all-around podium.
