Georgia Bonora (born 19 May 1990) is a retired Australian gymnast who was born in Melbourne. She has represented Australia at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Career[]
Bonora became a senior elite gymnast in 2006. She's been competing internationally since the 2006 World Championships.
In 2010 she was crowned Australian Champion at the National Championships.
She did not compete in 2011 because of an ankle injury.
As a member of the 2012 Australian senior squad, she was coached by John Hart.
At the 2012 Australian Gymnastics Championships in Sydney, she finished fifth on balance beam and seventh on uneven bars. The event was part of the Australian national team Olympic qualifying process.
In the summer of 2012, Bonora represented Australia at the Olympics for a second time. However, Australia failed to make the team final, and Bonora did not qualify for the all-around or individual event finals.
Bonora retired in late February 2014.[1]
