Kim Un-Hyang (born October 18, 1990 in Pyongyang, North Korea) is a retired North Korean artistic gymnast. She represented North Korea at the 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2014 World Championships, and is the 2014 Asian Games Champion on the balance beam.

Career[]

2006[]

Kim made her senior debut at the Surat Asian Championships. She won a bronze medal on beam and silver with the team. She later represented North Korea at the Doha Asian Games, placing 6th on beam. The team placed 2nd in the team final, but the result was later disqualified after it was discovered that Kim's teammate Cha Yong-Hwa was competing with a falsified age (being younger than the senior requirement). Due to Kim's performances, she was selected to compete at the Aarhus World Championships. She competed on beam and floor, and did not qualify to either event final.

2007[]

Kim was again selected for the World Championships, held in Stuttgart. This time she competed on bars as well as beam and floor, but did not qualify to an event final.

2008[]

2009[]

At the Belgrade Summer Universiade, the North Korean team earned bronze (though was disqualified again due to Cha Yong-Hwa's age falsification). Individually, Kim won silver on beam.
