Linda Joan Metheny-Mulvihill (born August 12, 1947 in Olney, Illinois, USA) is a retired American elite gymnast. She is a three-time Olympian, representing the U.S. at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Munich Olympic Games. She would go on to marry her coach Dick Mulvihill and become a successful coach at the National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics in Eugene, Oregon. She is also a 3-time National Champion.

Post-Retirement[]

After retiring, Metheny would become a coach alongside her husband and former coach Dick Mulvihill at the National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics in Eugene, Oregon. Among those coached by her were Yolande Mavity, Leslie Pyfer, and 1984 Olympians Tracee Talavera and Julianne McNamara.
