Deng Yalan (Chinese: 邓雅兰; pinyin: Dèng Yǎlán; born April 23 in Yunnan, Jiangxi) is an elite Chinese gymnast. As of 2014, she represents the Guangxi province in domestic competition. Her best event is vault.
Junior Career[]
In 2013, Deng won bronze on vault at the Chinese National Championships, and silver on vault at the Chinese National Games later that year. The following year, she repeated her silver on vault and placed tenth with her team.
Senior Career[]
2015[]
Deng's senior debut came at the São Paulo World Cup, where she took home the gold medal on vault. Unfortunately, she took a long break from training that resulted in her skills deteriorating and eventually retired.[1]
2019-20[]
Deng came out of retirement over time starting in 2017. She competed at the Chinese National Championships, winning bronze on vault. At the Chinese Individual Nationals in September, she won vault. She returned to the Chinese National Championships the following year in late September, placing fourteenth with her team.
2021[]
Deng competed at the 2021 Chinese Championships, placing sixteenth with the Jiangxi team. She also became the national champion on vault. At the Chinese National Games in September, she won silver on vault.
