Du Siyu (Chinese: 杜思雨; Pinyin: Dù Sīyǔ; born November 8, 2002 in Anhui, China) is a Chinese elite gymnast. She has competed in numerous World Cups and was an alternate for the 2018 World Championship team. As an alternate, she still got the bronze medal that China won in the team competition. She competes for Beijing in domestic competition.
Junior Career[]
2015-2016[]
Du made her junior elite debut at the Chinese National Youth Games in 2015, winning team silver and placing sixth in the all-around. The following year, she competed at the Chinese National Championships, placing sixth on uneven bars, and later the Chinese Junior National Championships, winning uneven bars gold and all-around and floor exercise bronze.
2017[]
Du returned to the Chinese National Championships, winning team and uneven bars silver, and placing seventh in the all-around. At the Chinese National Games in Tianjin, she again won team and uneven bars silver, and placed ninth in the all-around. At the Chinese Individual National Championships, she won uneven bars gold, all-around and balance beam silver, and placed fourth on floor exercise.
Senior Career[]
2018[]
Du made her senior international debut at the Melbourne World Cup, winning gold on uneven bars and bronze on balance beam. At the Doha World Cup later in the spring, she placed fifth on uneven bars. She went on to compete at the Chinese National Championships, winning team silver and placing fifth on uneven bars and sixth in the all-around. She only competed on uneven bars at the Chinese Individual National Championships, and won silver. Afterwards, she was named the alternate for the Chinese team for the World Championships, and joined the team on the podium when they received their bronze medal.
2019-2020[]
Du won team silver at the Chinese National Championships in the spring, and went on to win uneven bars silver and place seventh in the all-around at the Chinese Individual National Championships in the fall.
The following year, she competed at the postponed Chinese National Championships, winning team silver. At the Chinese Individual National Championships, she only competed on bars and beam, but didn't make the event finals in either.
2021[]
Du competed at the Chinese Championships, competing on vault and bars to help Beijing to a second place finish. At the Chinese National Games, she won bronze with her team.
2024[]
After missing the 2022 and 2023 seasons, she competed at the Baku World Cup in March, placing sixth on uneven bars.
