Vanasia Bradley (born January 21 in Canton, MI) is a retired elite American gymnast. She trained at Splitz Gymnastics under Eileen Spicher. She attended the University of Florida, where she was a student coach for their gymnastics team.
Junior Career[]
Bradley made her elite debut at the American Classic in 2013, placing second on uneven bars and seventh on balance beam. She then competed at the Junior U.S. Classic, placing sixteenth in the all-around, sixth on vault, and ninth on balance beam. Her scores were good enough to qualify her to her first Junior Nationals. There she placed eleventh in the all-around and won silver on vault (tied with Nia Dennis).
Bradley missed the first half of the competition season due to broken growth plates in her back, but recovered by the summer. She was set to compete at the American Classic in July but tore her ACL and meniscus and withdrew from the roster.[1]
Due to constant injures, Bradley never competed elite as a senior. She began attending the University of Florida in the fall of 2017, but had to retire from gymnastics completely due to injury, instead becoming a student coach for their gymnastics team.[2]
