Tamires Rodrigues da Veiga (born January 26 in Curitiba) is an elite Brazilian gymnast. She trains at CEGIN Gymnastics Center and is coached by Oleg Ostapenko.
Junior Career[]
2012[]
Veiga made her international debut in 2012 at the South American Youth Championships, winning gold on uneven bars. She later went on to compete at the Dityatin Cup in Russia, placing fourth on beam and seventh in the all-around.
2013[]
Veiga competed at the Stella Zakharova Cup, winning bronze on floor exercise. She returned to the Dityatin Cup, winning gold on balance beam, silver in the all-around, bronze on vault and floor, placed fourth on bars, and sixth with her team. She competed at the Olympic Hopes Cup and Mexico Open, winning team silver in both competitions. In the latter, she also competed in the all-around but did not place because of the "two-per-country" rule.
2014[]
In August, Veiga competed at the Brazilian Nationals, winning team silver and placing fifth in the all-around. She competed at the Brazilian Junior Nationals in November, winning team silver, and placing seventh on bars and eighth on beam.
